Aggie Pride

These are the things that really make an Aggie proud. I'm sure some of you have read one or more of these articles as they have been passed around by email and been posted on TexAgs, but I wanted to make sure I shared them with the club. This paper in Georgia is fortunate to have this columnist on their staff!

Make sure you read them in order. Here's the first article which was published on April 19th. http://www.newtoncitizen.com/main.asp?SectionID=8&subsectionID=8&articleID=3100

Here's the follow up to the first article published April 27th. http://www.newtoncitizen.com/main.asp?SectionID=8&subsectionID=8&articleID=3182

Here's a 3rd article published on May 24 for Memorial Day.

Summer Picnic in the Works...

Save the date if you can! The Snake River Valley Aggies will have a summer picnic on Sunday, August 3rd from 3-6. More details to follow!
Hope you are all enjoying summer as it has finally arrived for good here in Boise! With so many summer plans, vacations and visitors, I'm planning to wait for Fall to initiate any regular happy hour type activities - I got quite a few positive responses on this.
For those of you that are interested (or possibly obsessed) with Aggie Football, if you have any ideas about locations for football watch parties this Fall, I am all ears. I'd like to start talking to some places and schedule some dates for games that we know we can catch on TV. I expect this is going to be an exciting seaon for us - we may not be competing for any championships, but it should be exciting none the less. Coach Sherman has impressed me - football skills aside, he has made a real effort at integrating the team with the student body. When I heard he had the team showing up to Silver Taps, I knew we had the right guy in the driver's seat!

Muster 2008

On April 21st, nearly 40 Boise area Aggies and guests joined for Muster at Louie's in Meridian. Many generations of Aggies representing 6 decades of former students enjoyed good conversation and stories over a great family style Italian meal. The Muster program and the Roll Call ceremony were memorable as always. Thank you to all those that helped out with the program content and readings - it is always a humbling experience to be a part of A&M's most cherished tradition.

Howdy Idaho Aggies

I thought I would try my hand at initiating a Blog for our group to give us a place to communicate and post updates. Now I am REALLY new at this type of thing so bear with me! If anyone in the group has some experience in putting these things together, I'd be more than happy to take some advice! If anyone would like to help get a full-blown website set up, I'd be willing to learn and help get that going too. In the meantime, I'll try to get on here at least once every week or so and give some kind of update... Gig Em!
